British Safety Council Member

The British Safety Council has campaigned tirelessly to protect workers from accidents, hazards and unsafe conditions, and played a decisive role in the political process that has led to adoption of landmark safety legislation in the UK. Its members in more than 60 countries are committed to protecting and improving the well-being of workers believing that a healthy and safe work environment is also good for business.

Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

IOSH are a world-leading developer of certificated safety and health training courses. The courses provide insights and practical tools so that individuals and organisations can create safer and healthier working environments. By promoting a safety and health culture in which everyone plays their part, the courses help to reduce sickness absence, improve productivity and bring about other organisational benefits.

International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM)

IIRSM is an educational charity and professional body for those managing risk in all its forms. They are independent and speak freely, championing risk management to drive positive change for both employee and organisational well-being. They do this through setting standards, connecting people and organisations, and providing practical education, training, advice and resources.

Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM)

The Institute of Fire Safety Managers is a professional body of highly respected individuals and companies who all share the same objective.

“To raise the awareness of fire safety at a local, national and international level, promoting fire prevention, fire protection and reducing the risk from fire as far as reasonably practicable”

Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register Ltd (OSHCR)

A network of professional bodies and stakeholders worked together in partnership to develop this register, which has established a benchmark standard for safety consultants and helped to raise the quality of advice being given to businesses.

This minimum standard has been set at a degree level qualification, with at least two years experience and active engagement in a continuing professional development scheme.

Businesses can have confidence in choosing a health and safety consultant from the register, as they are bound by their professional body’s code of conduct and are committed to providing sensible and proportionate health and safety advice.

Association of First Aiders (AoFA)

The Association of First Aiders – AoFA is an association formed out of the membership of the First Aid Cafe website, UK’s largest independent community of over 14,000 first aiders and first aid trainers.

UKATA is a leading authority on asbestos training, a not for profit association established in 2008 with a set purpose in mind: to be recognised as the asbestos industry’s most eminent training association.

UKATA is instantly recognised and respected for the exacting standards in asbestos training delivered by its Members in accordance with current HSE Legislation.

Qualifications Network UK (QNUK)

QNUK has been involved with regulated qualifications since 2005. An Awarding Organisation (AO) regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA Regulation in Northern Ireland.

Qualifications Network is known as a leading First aid Awarding body / organisation in the UK, however, they also offer a wide range of qualifications in food safety, health and safety, security, alcohol licencing, teaching, assessing and verification.

The Construction Industry Training Board Approved Training 

A CITB Approved Training Organisation - or ATO - is an organisation which provides construction training courses and qualifications to a defined and industry-agreed training standard.

The East Anglian Festival Network (EAFN) 

exists to bring together all the amazing local people (organisers, workers, venues, suppliers, contractors, traders, performers & Festival goers) that form the community that put on and enjoy over Seven Hundred (700!) wonderful East Anglian Festivals, Fairs, Carnival and Fun Days held each year across East Anglia (Cambs, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk).
