This course is the ideal introduction to understanding your own mental wellbeing. The qualification covers the most common mental health conditions, their contributing factors and how to look after your mental health.
Level 2 Award in Awareness of Young People’s Mental Health
This qualification provides an awareness of how and why young people are at risk of poor mental health. The qualification is ideal for young people as well as adults that support young people including teachers, support staff, youth workers and parents. This qualification will give learners personal growth and engagement in learning.
Level 2 Award in Mental Health at Work
This Level 2 course is the ideal introduction to understanding mental health in the workplace. The qualification covers the most common mental health conditions, how to identify potential mental health concerns in colleagues and then how to discuss their needs and assist them to access suitable services and support.
Level 3 Award in Mental Health at Work
This level 3 course is the ideal qualification for mental health champions in the workplace. With a responsibility to protect the health of employees at work, having mental health champions highlights the organisations commitment to promoting positive mental health awareness. The qualification covers a range of mental health conditions; some more common than others, how to identify potential mental health concerns in colleagues and then how to discuss their needs and assist them to access suitable services and support.
Introduction to Emotional Intelligence
This course will introduce the concept of emotional intelligence and look at how you can use it in effective and meaningful ways. It will examine the difference between emotional intelligence and IQ and dispel some of the myths surrounding emotional intelligence. It contains a section on the advantages and disadvantages of using emotional intelligence and considers the biological purpose for emotions and how best to manage them
Mental Health Awareness
This course explains the difference between mental health and mental illness. It covers the symptoms of a number of the most common mental illnesses so you will know what to look out for or what to expect if you are working with someone with one of these conditions. As well as providing some practical advice on how you can work effectively with those affected by these conditions.
Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to notice and support individuals who may be experiencing mental health issues or exhibiting the signs of substance use in a work environment. They are also taught how to connect those people with appropriate help from fellow employees, community resources or healthcare professionals.
Stress is a real problem for both organisations and their employees. It accounts for a significant proportion of work related illness each year. Being aware of the signs of stress, some of the triggers and how to manage them can make a real difference to your wellbeing and that of people around you. This course will cover an introduction to stress and why it's a problem, some of the causes of stress and some ways to minimise the risk of stress
